105 Artists and Fans,

Purple Palomino, Ralph Greene

Purple Palomino, Ralph Greene

Last month we had a fabulous exhibit with the works of  Ralph Greene --I hope a lot of artists were inspired by the persistence and consistency of  Ralph's level of production.   Sometimes the success of an artist is the big mountain of work he makes over a long period of time.  Take Picasso, for instance--he made over 25,000 works of art, and that's not counting doodles and sketchbooks and what he threw away--but you'd be hard-pressed to choose your most favorite of all of his works!  I hope all of you had a chance to read Wes Pulkka's article, too.  Don't forget--Ralph is one of 105's core artists, so he will be showing regularly here.   Stay tuned for more "cosmic dust" from Ralph.

We are delighted to announce that Diane Rolnick of Edgewood won the Black Rooster in the "Favorite Painting" contest.  Sorry, but there was only one of those.   My tiny little fingers grabbed the card out of more than a 150 participants, so thank you, all of you, for participating.  And, thank you for all the nice comments about the show.  My favorite was 131 Vanderbilt Ave.--you know that was Ralph's address in NYC, Queens?  But I also liked Purple Palomino!  Can't make up my mind, either.
